Therapeutic Massage:
Therapeutic massage is not only effective in stress reduction and management, but it may also be used for rehabilitative purposes such as after an injury or pre/post surgery. RMT’S are dedicated to offering skilled and effective treatments using an array of therapeutic techniques that are tailored specifically to your individual needs to restore proper body mechanics, muscle balance and joint function. Your session will provide you with techniques of deep tissue release, Swedish techniques, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilization and passive stretch. Treatment can bring relief and restore function in order to utilize our body’s natural healing processes.

Sports Massage:
RMT’s are trained to treat specific sports related injuries including ligament sprains, muscle strains, tendonitis and more. Athletic massage therapy can assist in improving performance, injury prevention and provide treatment for conditions resulting from overuse or injury. Sports massage therapy is geared towards athletes of every kind, from world class professionals to weekend joggers. The particulars of the techniques used are specific to the sport of choice. The focus of the treatment will be on areas of over-use. Treatment can be used as a means to enhance a pre-event preparation and aid in the reduction of recovery time for maximum performance during training or after an event. Treatment techniques promote an increase in circulation, lymphatic drainage, and joint range of motion to enhance endurance and reduce fatigue which in turn will aid in injury prevention and preparation of their body and mind connection for optimal performance.

Pre and Post Natal:
Whether your pregnant for the first time or an experienced mother, all women can seek benefit from massage therapy during and post pregnancy. RMT’s are educated in anatomy and physiology as well as honing a range of therapeutic techniques specifically designed for easing women through various stages of maternity. As the pregnancy evolves, weight gain and postural changes can create discomfort and pain, in turn this may lead to a decrease in sleep and create a chronic fatigue pattern. After the babies arrival, massage can aid in recovery as well as provide relief from challenges of early motherhood such as breastfeeding, carrying babies in car seats and lifting them in and out of the crib. Massage therapists are skillfully trained to diagnose and treat pain that is most commonly associated with pregnancy. Prenatal massage is different from a regular massage therapy session due to the demands of a mother’s body to be supported safely. This is achieved by using specific and supportive prenatal body bolstering designed to fit the massage table allowing the expectant mother to lay on her stomach or on her side.

Hot Stone Massage:
A premium massage therapy service that combines the benefits of hydrotherapy, thermotherapy and massage therapy to create a deeply relaxing and healing treatment. Hot stone massage uses warmed stones as an extension of the therapist’s hands. The stones deliver a deeply penetrating heat to the client’s muscles, thus enhancing the therapeutic benefits of the massage. The stones are smooth-surfaced stones made of basalt, volcanic rock, which have over time become naturally smooth and polished by water. The high iron content in basalt aids in the stones retaining heat during the massage. During the treatment, the basalt stones are heated and placed over specific points on the body. The rest of the body is then massaged using hot stones. As the stones cool they are replaced with hot ones.
